HHLONIX

Router evidence

Can a NETGEAR Orbi RBK760 work directly with my ISP?

The RBR760 manual documents DHCP/static WAN setup, PPPoE, Client Identifier String (Option 61), VLAN/Bridge settings and AP mode. That makes the RBK760 family one of the more flexible mesh profiles in Hlonix, although it still has no built-in VDSL modem.

Why Option 61 matters

The RBR760 Internet Setup page includes a Client Identifier String / Option 61 field, giving Hlonix stronger evidence for line-specific providers than a router that only exposes DHCP and PPPoE.

VLAN and IPTV flexibility

The manual includes VLAN / Bridge controls and configurable VLAN tag groups. Exact VLAN IDs and priorities still come from the ISP profile.

Good behind a provider gateway too

NETGEAR documents AP mode for using Orbi behind an existing gateway or modem-router. This helps when the provider device must remain for voice, TV, cable access or managed authentication.

Still not a DSL modem

On VDSL-last-mile services, Orbi needs a separate VDSL modem or the ISP device in front.
