Switzerland
Using your own router in Switzerland
Switzerland has strong router-choice options, but the access rules differ sharply. Swisscom external routers need VLAN 10 plus DHCP Option 60 and provider registration, while Init7 Fiber7 is built around customer-selected routing hardware.
Swisscom has a specific DHCP requirement
Ordinary DHCP and VLAN support are not sufficient by themselves. Swisscom documents DHCP Option 60 with a fixed vendor-class value and requires router registration.
Init7 is unusually router-friendly
Fiber7 does not bundle a mandatory router. Init7 publishes hardware/optics requirements and documents media-converter use when the selected router has Ethernet WAN but no fibre port.
Do not mix service families
Init7 Easy7, Hybrid7, Copper7 and Fiber7 have different hardware/authentication requirements. Hlonix only applies a profile to the exact selected service.
