Switzerland · Init7
Can I use my own router with Init7 Fiber7?
Yes. Init7 explicitly offers free router choice on Fiber7 and publishes the physical requirements for 1, 10 and 25 Gbit/s tiers. Fiber7 uses DHCP; a media converter can let an Ethernet-only router sit behind the fibre termination.

Speed tier changes the physical hardware
A 1G router, 10G SFP+ router and 25G SFP28 router are not interchangeable even though the logical WAN method is simple.
Media converter is a useful bridge
Init7 explicitly documents a converter path for customers whose preferred router has Ethernet WAN but no fibre interface.
Do not apply Fiber7 settings to Hybrid7
Init7 Hybrid7 and Copper7 use different VLAN/PPPoE or DSL requirements. This page and checker profile are Fiber7-specific.
