Can I use my own router with Swisscom Fibre?
Yes, with an approved compatible router. Swisscom documents DHCP, VLAN 10 and DHCP Option 60 value 100008,0001, followed by a registration step. That special DHCP option is why Hlonix does not call ordinary DHCP/VLAN support sufficient.
Option 60 is a real compatibility gate
A router can support VLANs and still fail if its firmware cannot send the required vendor-class value. Hlonix therefore exposes Option 60 separately for custom routers.
XGS-PON hardware is restricted
Swisscom says only certified routers/modules may connect directly to its 10G XGS-PON technology. Using the provider ONT avoids pretending any optical module will work.
TV and telephony need extra features
Swisscom documents IGMP multicast requirements for blue TV and separate SIP credentials for eligible telephony products.
