Can I use my own router with StarHub Fibre?

On an ONT-based StarHub setup, yes: StarHub's current guide describes the ONT as the fibre termination device and the separate router as user-replaceable networking hardware. ONR-based setups need a different bridge/AP decision.

Identify ONT vs ONR first

An ONT does not route or provide Wi-Fi; an ONR combines both functions. The same third-party router therefore has a different role depending on which device StarHub installed.

ONT is the cleaner own-router case

The router plugs into the ONT via Ethernet and can be upgraded independently without changing the fibre termination.

ONR may need bridge or AP mode

StarHub notes that using your own router with an ONR requires bridge mode if supported, or AP mode on the added router to avoid double NAT.
