Netherlands · Ziggo
Can I use my own router with Ziggo?
Yes. Ziggo explains that its supplied box combines a modem and Wi-Fi router. If you only want your own router, put the Ziggo modem in bridge mode so it passes the connection to your router.

Router replacement is not cable-modem replacement
In bridge mode the Ziggo device still terminates the coax network. Your router handles the home network behind it.
Ziggo also supports own modems
Ziggo's current page describes a provider process for a compatible own modem, but that is a separate hardware/activation problem from simply adding an own router.
IPv6 firewall matters
Ziggo explicitly warns users to ensure the own router has a firewall that blocks unwanted inbound IPv6 connections.
