New Zealand · One NZ
Can I use my own router with One NZ Fibre or HFC?
Yes for broadband-only service on compatible hardware. One NZ publishes IP/DHCP routing with VLAN 10 for Fibre and HFC. Its voice calling over broadband service is different: One NZ says that service requires a supported One NZ modem.

Fibre and HFC share the cited WAN profile
One NZ's current third-party modem page lists Ethernet access, DHCP/IP routing, VLAN 10 and automatic DNS for Fibre and HFC.
Do not configure PPPoE just because another NZ ISP uses it
Spark and Skinny use PPPoE in their cited Fibre profiles; One NZ uses DHCP/IPoE. The country alone is not enough to choose the WAN mode.
Voice changes the verdict
One NZ explicitly says its voice calling over broadband service will not work on a non-One NZ modem, even if that device has SIP capability.
