Can I use my own router with Rogers?

Yes. Rogers documents bridge mode specifically for adding a third-party Wi-Fi router. The Rogers gateway remains as the provider-facing modem/access device while your router takes over the home network.

What bridge mode does

It disables the gateway's router/Wi-Fi role and lets the downstream router handle NAT, firewall and wireless networking.

Gateway model still matters

Rogers publishes model-specific instructions. Use the instructions for the exact gateway on the account rather than applying a generic menu path from another model.

Home phone and managed services

Rogers notes additional checks around home phone when toggling bridge mode. If those services matter, verify them after the change before treating the setup as complete.
