Can I use my own router with EE Broadband?

Yes, but the hardware requirements change with the access type. EE Full Fibre can use a compatible PPPoE router directly on the ONT; Part Fibre / SOGEA needs VDSL plus VLAN 101. Digital Home Phone and EE TV remain hub-dependent.

Full Fibre path

The Openreach ONT terminates the fiber, so the third-party router needs Ethernet WAN and PPPoE rather than a built-in fiber modem.

Part Fibre / SOGEA path

The copper last mile reaches the premises as VDSL. A router-only mesh cannot plug directly into that line; the replacement device needs VDSL plus EE's documented VLAN settings.

Services that keep the hub

A pure internet replacement can be technically compatible while Digital Home Phone or EE TV still changes the topology. Hlonix treats those as separate inputs.
