Can I use my own router with Vodafone?

The answer depends on the plan. Vodafone permits compatible third-party routers on eligible broadband services, but says the Vodafone router is mandatory for Pro Broadband and plans with Digital Voice.

A compatible router can use the ONT handoff after you obtain the provider credentials and confirm any service-specific VLAN setting.

Managed plans are different

Pro Broadband and Digital Voice are not just another PPPoE profile. The provider hub is part of the supported service, so Hlonix changes the verdict instead of treating all Vodafone plans identically.

Before buying hardware

Make sure the router supports PPPoE and, where your service requires it, WAN VLAN configuration. Then confirm the exact account settings with Vodafone.
